Dr. Kim provides honest and quality healthcare for families in and around the Triad area. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina with two B.A. degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Shortly after becoming a chiropractic assistant in Asheville, N.C. she went to chiropractic school at Life Chiropractic in Marietta, GA. It was there she met her husband, Dr. Joe Fonke, and the two now live in Winston Salem with their 6 kids ages 10, 7, 7, 5, 5 and an angel baby.
Dr. Kim is a birth and medical freedom advocate, actively engaging with legislation to protect families and their ability to choose their healthcare path. She is skilled in chiropractic care for the entire family and holds her Pediatric Certification (C.A.C.C.P.) from the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics. She enjoys helping families get and stay well, holding public seminars on current health issues that families face and spending time with her family.
Her love for true health and healing through the natural approach of specific, scientific chiropractic care is what ignited her vision for a healthy, drug-free world. A world where every person, no matter the age, shall have access to the incredible healing capabilities that lie within them.
Dr. Kim is active in several organizations including the Kernersville Chamber of Commerce, North Carolina Chiropractic Association, International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and the League of Chiropractic Women and being the founder of the Triad Birth Professionals Network. She is Webster certified (a prenatal specific chiropractic technique) and holds her Pediatric Certification (C.A.C.C.P.) from the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics. In addition, she has training in several techniques including: Thompson, Activator, Toggle, Craniosacral Therapy and Full-Spine.

Dr. Joe Fonke

Dr. Joe's journey with chiropractic begins with a traumatic birthing process that led to developmental delays, mainly in communication, behavior and lack of coordination.
INTRODUCED TO CHIROPRACTIC
After many hours and many evaluations, medical doctors and psychologists could not explain why these developmental delays had occurred. In the end, the doctors could only tell his parents that he would never be a normal child and that he was borderline Autistic. At the age of three he was still not verbally speaking and having multiple behavioral outbursts a day. It was not until a chiropractor, his uncle Dr. Jerome Fonke, introduced his parents to chiropractic. His uncle explained that the body has the inborn potential to heal itself if the nervous system is free from interference. Through chiropractic care, he was able to communicate verbally and his behavior began to stabilize. Seeing these amazing changes in him, his parents decided to become chiropractors and enrolled at Life University.
EDUCATION
In the next sixteen years he saw the great joy and immense capacity for the human potential. He graduated with honors in high school and college, played high school athletics, and developed many personal relationships, despite the medical doctors’ and psychologists’ original predictions. At the age of 23, he found chiropractic to be his calling to serve the community. He enrolled at Life University where he graduated with honors. Dr. Joe has a passion for natural healthcare for the entire family and is a certified Webster Chiropractic Practitioner.
LIFE TOGETHER
Dr. Kim and Dr. Joe met while in chiropractic school and were married November 22nd. They have three daughters; Annabelle and the twins, Catherine and Sarah, and three sons: twins Patrick and Joseph and their Angel Baby born at 20.2. weeks David. When the two are not in the office they enjoy volunteering to help expand and excel the chiropractic profession, protecting medical freedom and civil liberties, being outside and spending time with the family.

Dr. Heather Hart

Dr. Heather Hart is a graduate of Northern Michigan University, with a B.A. degree in Biology. Upon graduation she immediately attended Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg SC. While at sherman she found her passion for pre-natal and pediatric care. Dr. Hart wants to change the way we look at birth and family health, by giving power back to our innate selves.
Dr. Hart always knew she wanted to be in the health field but she did not want to simply push pills and mask problems. She wanted to help people find better natural alternatives for the root problems. Dr. Hart shadowed her chiropractors, who became her mentors, and decided that this profession was were she needed to be.
Dr. Hart is certified in Webster Technique, and has training in Activator, TRT, Toggle, and Full-Spine. She is actively working towards her Pre/Postnatal coaching certification to better help support moms on their pregnancy and postnatal journeys. Dr. Hart strongly believes that knowledge is power, and wants to be a source of that power for families by sharing with and educating her patients.
Dr. Hart enjoys hiking, gardening, crocheting, and reading. She also loves spending time at home with her two fur babies and plants. One thing Dr. Hart cannot get enough of is Boba tea!

Katie is our bubbly networking and marketing expert working hard to connect our Village to YOU! She enjoys spending time taking walks with her son Jackson and daughter Charlie and exploring different places to play! She loves spending time outside and trying new restaurants with friends and family. Her favorite thing about chiropractic at The Village is that chiropractic is beneficial to every part of the body in all life stages!
Madison Manson
Chiropractic Assistant
Madison is our social media guru and all things pediatric and prenatal at the front desk! She is a certified birth and postpartum doula as well as a family and lifestyle photographer and brings a lot of that knowledge to the office! She loves a good pumpkin latte any time of the year and spending time with her husband and 2 boys outside, camping and hiking their way through the mountains of NC. She is always looking for ways to expand her knowledge of living holistically!
